Subject: GOLDRUSH MOST WANTED - W.F. ANDREWS
Hi everyone! I have a 49er, W.F. ANDREWS born in 1829 in Massachusetts who
shows up once in the 1850 census of San Joaquin County (Stockton District)
California, marries (supposedly) in 1850-51 to a Rebecca P. ? and has a
daughter Mary L. in 1851-52, and then a son in 1853-54. He dies before
1860 in a mining accident (?) in the Kennedy Gold Mine in Tone City,
Amador County, CA. His wife, Rebecca P. remarries a J.N.O. PALMER and I
find them (with step daughter Mary L. TURNER, now married with a daughter,
also widowed) and step-son Thomas Andrews in the 1860, 70, and1880 census.
Is there any hope of finding a report on the death of W.F. ANDREWS in the
mine fields? a gravestone? or a marriage record?
Thanks all!
